The sacrifice is normally a LOSS of power under other conditions, usually having adverse effects on drivability. Drivability – There are relatively simple tricks that an “engine chip” can pull to increase power at WOT (Wide Open Throttle) and high RPM conditions. Any engine chip that claims to be able to drastically change the output of your car’s engine by tearing open the computer box is probably bogus. It’s also important to note that your car’s engine computer is designed to perform specific functions, and it wasn’t necessarily built with the capacity to change in any really significant way. As a general rule, opening the ECU will immediately void the warranty. Warranty – If your car is still under any type of factory or extended warranty, you should be wary of installing any type of chip that requires you to open your car’s ECU case. Any chip which deactivates your vehicle’s stock emissions controls isn’t doing your car any good and is probably illegal. Sometimes an “engine chip” will disable these systems, which can result in a failed emissions test as well as the “check engine” light coming on. Emissions – One of the most important functions that your car’s ECU fulfills is regulation of the emissions functions on the car.If you are shopping for an engine chip, here are 4 things you should keep in mind before you make your purchase: That being said, ECU tuning is an effective tool for gaining usable, drivable horsepower if you do it right. The truth is that most “engine chips” are just junk. The reality is that even the most sophisticated ECU adjustment can’t do much to increase power output without modifications to other systems on the car. It’s easy to be suckered into the idea that your car’s performance can be drastically changed by installing a simple “chip” that will do wonders for your engine. The engine chip is one of the most misunderstood modifications in amateur performance tuning today.

The tool cannot be described as the most powerful one the market, as it still needs some improvements in the GUI area. It can be easily configured and installed by all types of users, regardless of their experience level. During our testing we have noticed that the tool offers good image quality and no errors showed during our testing. It is important to mention that hotkeys are also available for a better control over the entire process, but they cannot be reassigned. Plus, you can preview the cards before printing them. It is possible to create multiple QSL cards and sort them by call sign. QSL Maker allows users to add details about the call sign, time and date when it occurred, radio frequency, signal report, and the mode of transmission used. QSL Maker enables you to select the size of the card, specify the number of pages, choose the background color, insert the call sign and set its position on the card. It boasts a clean and simple interface that gives users the possibility to perform most operations with just a few clicks. I’d like to offer my samples of recent QSL cards I created here in this post, and let you know I can create any kind of custom cartoons for your card you’re planning.Ham radio qsl card printers Ham radio qsl card printers On by Kazibei McCall entitled “Convoy” which made the popularity of CB radios explode and in a way, it ruined the allure since so many people went out and bought their own CB radios….every person on the block had one and all the order that once exisited across the 27 Mhz frequencies was a mixture of “opinions” – like what we now see on Facebook. Then a one hit wonder of a song came out by country singer C.W. You could say CB radios were like Facebook back in those days. I’m talking about the 1970’s and long before the popularity of the internet was even a glimmer in the eyes of Steve Jobs or Bill Gates. Many years ago when I played around with citizens band or CB radio, qsl cards were very popular. I thought I’d write a brief synopsis of these unique personal identification cards that also offer great potential for cartoons to be personalized upon and illustrated for their owners.įor those who are unaware, a qsl card is actually a form of “business card” that is exchanged between fans of amateur or ham radio and citizens band radio users who make long distance contact over their favorite frequencies.īoth types of radio aficionados utilize these unique post card size cards as their “calling card” that includes their call sign, some personal or favorite graphics (and yes, cartoons!) emblazoned across the card and their favorite frequency they hang out at or “monitor” CB Radio Cartoons and more Custom QSL cartoons recently came to mind after just being contacted by a ham radio operator in Michigan who wanted to license one of my cartoons for a line of qsl cards he planned on printing up.
